This gorgeous 23.6-inch monitor is Acer's first spin at the mainstream 3D monitor market. The GD235HZ as it will be known as, is a 120Hz LCD monitor that has been specifically manufactured to work with Nvidia's Active-Shutter glasses system, and is now available to you for $399. It offers the 16:9 widescreen experience and supports up to 1920x1080 resolution, but of course you will need an Nvidia card that supports 3D in order to take advantage of any of this. Not to mention spending an extra $199 on the 3D glasses accessory kit. It's a sleek looking monitor and a great way to get the ball rolling for the 3D market, but until we start seeing more Blu Ray compatible movies and games there isn't much of a point to throw in that kind of money.

It wasn't that long ago that you'd pay $400 for huge, clunky old monitors. The fact that you can get a 3-D capable flat-screen monitor for this price nowadays is pretty amazing.
Indeed you are right, we actually had some game time with Avatar at CES in Nvidia's booth and it was a lot of fun to play, and terrific to look at. Just wish there was more content out before I go all in for 3D gear.
